Hoihoi, my name is Rebecca Stroeven (2000). In 2025, I graduated from the University of Arts Utrecht (HKU) as a Graphic Designer with my project “Scherven brengen geluk”. My work is largely inspired by play, nostalgia, LGBTQ+ themes, and mental health. Color and experimentation are central to my approach. My process is often based on play, where I work experimentally with various (sometimes unpredictable) materials to develop ideas and outcomes. This results in a lot of literal and figurative layering in my work, and I hope people take the time to really look at it.

I also work a lot with ceramics, a material that suits my way of working. I enjoy feeling the material, and the final result is always a surprise. In the future, I hope to grow even more in this area and explore mixing graphic design with ceramics! :)
